Founded in 2016, MEAN STREET from Peru offer an exciting mix of AOR and hard rock. A certain exotic touch is undeniable but the material is pretty strong for the most part, too, and especially the hookline monsters «Love Will Bring You Down» and «I’ll Take The Blame» have to be mentioned here. Frontman and guitarrist Darío Rovig with his charismatic voice is a special treat here. This debut is obviously influenced by for example the likes of DEF LEPPARD, SLAUGHTER, WHITESNAKE or even MÖTLEY CRÜE. The production is pretty solid and powerful. (MS)
