The Final Hour (00:05:13) Qobuz Hi-Res About the Release & Vibe ⚡ Pure uncompromising NWOTHM energy. Razor-sharp dual guitar leads, galloping rhythms, and commanding vocal delivery. Swedish heavy metal stalwarts Ram return via Metal Blade Records with Against, a relentless masterclass in traditional riffcraft and analog drive. The Gothenburg outfit stays fiercely dedicated to authentic old-school sonics while pushing modern production clarity to the front. From soaring speed-driven anthems like "Ghost Emperor" and "Night Blade" to the crushing weight of the title track and "The Final Hour," the LP maintains relentless forward momentum throughout its 42-minute run. EN (Review): A fierce, authentic traditional metal record that proves Ram remain among Europe's most consistent torchbearers of the genre. The twin-guitar assault of Granroth and Jonsson cuts cleanly through the mix, supported by a locked-in rhythm section that retains distinct analog warmth in Hi-Res 24-bit.
